Specialist distributor Access Networks is continuing to broaden and deepen its portfolio with IoT and wireless systems.

The company has inked a New Zealand and Pacific Islands distribution agreement with Chinese industrial internet of things (IoT) provider Ursalink and another with US-based Proxim Wireless.

Mark Dasent, sales and marketing director for Access Networks, said Ursalink has an excellent range of affordable indoor and outdoor LoRaWAN IoT networking standard-based gateways as well as temperature/humidity sensors which, when combined with the Ursalink cloud platform, make a one-stop IoT solution.

“They have taken a large part of the complexity out of providing end-to-end IoT solutions, which is what makes Ursalink an appeal to us and our partners,” said Dasent.

Proxim Wireless delivers a range of rugged and flexible product that will help meet the needs of partners and customers by delivering a cost-effective and faster alternative to leased lines and wired distribution systems, Dasent said.

Proxim delivers a flexible range of carrier-class wireless solutions ready for rapid deployment and also with advanced mobility options.

Earlier in the month, Access added Spanish industrial and smart city IoT specialist WoMaster to its stable of products and hired former Allied Telesis country manager Paul Batchelor as networking lead for the lower North Island and South Island.

At the same time, shares in Access Networks were reallocated, giving Batchelor a 15 per cent share in the company.
