Samsung Electronics is tapping IT distributor Exeed to form a new business-to-business partnership and strengthen its "next generation business" product portfolio.
Samsung said the line between IT and communications is blurred in the modern workplace, with a blend across devices, locations and platforms.
The new partnership brings the technology and proficiency of Samsung together with Exeed’s expertise in IT solutions and strong reputation with New Zealand IT resellers and retailers, Samsung said.
The head of B2B channels of Samsung NZ's mobile division, Jared Pedersen, said the new partnership would give customers more flexibility and the ability to include Samsung phones and devices in their business solutions from one IT distributor
The new agreement would also provide Kiwi resellers with the flexibility to service their needs and demands efficiently from one distributor.
The deal comes less than a month after Exeed inked a similar agreement with Motorola to enter the mobile distribution market.
Managing director of Exeed Justin Tye said Exeed had had a long association with Samsung in New Zealand.
"Our resellers have been asking for the opportunity to sell end-to-end mobility solutions and integrate mobile phone devices into their managed services business," he said.
"This new partnership gives Exeed the opportunity to build an innovative new business with Samsung and deliver a significant point of difference for commercial resellers in New Zealand.”
