Auldhouse expands training portfolio into Amazon's cloud.
Technology trainer Auldhouse is launching courses in Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure for IT professionals and service providers from November.
Auldhouse, a long-term Microsoft training partner, aims to substantially grow AWS certification across New Zealand, in a bid to become the first local training provider to deliver regularly scheduled AWS courses in the South Island.
In addition to a one-day AWS Fundamentals course, Auldhouse will offer the following three AWS Associate Level Certification courses:
- AWS Solutions Architect
- AWS Systems Operations Administrator
- AWS Developer
Specifically, these three-day courses will prepare students for the AWS Associate-level certification exam.
"Adding AWS to our portfolio means there are now more opportunities for New Zealanders to become certified in the world's leading cloud infrastructure platform - no matter where they are based," Auldhouse managing director Melanie Hobcraft said.
"The opportunities for New Zealand IT professional and service providers who develop their AWS skills and certifications are immense. Not only does AWS hold a 33 per cent share of the cloud infrastructure industry worldwide, it also won a New Zealand whole-of-government agreement in May."
Such adoption will drive further demand for AWS certified professionals in New Zealand, she said.
Currently AWS courses are offered by Bespoke Training Services across Asia-Pacific with courses periodically scheduled in New Zealand. Courses are also offered online.
Students will be able to both complete their AWS training and sit their certification exams at Auldhouse because it is an authorised testing centre for official AWS exam testing partners Kryterion and PSI Services.
The first Auldhouse AWS courses start in November at training centres in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, as well as through Auldhouse's live online training service Auldhouse Anywhere.
Auldhouse's push into the expanding AWS ecosystem across New Zealand follows a series of partner certifications across the country.
As reported by Reseller News, The Instillery recently secured a double partnership on the platform, with public cloud expansion plans continuing through Advanced Consulting and Authorised Public Sector partner statuses.
Furthermore, Wellington-based API Talent officially became New Zealand's second Amazon Web Services managed service partner this week, following SAP specialist Soltius, which achieved official recognition in May.
Continuing the trend, Auckland-based start-up Consegna was also recognised as an AWS Advanced Consulting Partner, in recognition of expanding cloud capabilities and a growing customer base across New Zealand.
