Retail conglomerate James Pascoe Group is tapping NTT to deliver new hybrid cloud solutions to the organisation in New Zealand.
Steve Wotten, head of digital at Dimension Data New Zealand, said the hybrid Power Cloud solution chosen by James Pascoe had been created by the New Zealand team to provide local clients with a pathway to cloud services for all their existing applications, including those approaching end-of-life.
James Pascoe Group will benefit from a cloud offering that will extend the life of existing hardware, shift the cost from a capital to an operating expense, and provide a faster, more reliable end-user experience, he said.
David Lean, group head of IT, James Pascoe Group, said NTT’s Power Cloud will allow the company to take advantage of a best-in-class cloud solution without the capital outlay.
"Power Cloud’s hybrid environment provides elasticity, enabling us to scale its requirements up and down as required," Lean said.
This was particularly useful in a disaster recovery environment, which by its nature is only deployed occasionally, such as during test sessions.
"Power Cloud is a great example of Kiwi innovation and ingenuity, and we are seeing great interest from our colleagues in our other markets,” Wotten said.
The Power Cloud solution is available to all new and existing clients, both in New Zealand and in other countries in which NTT operates, such as Australia and Singapore.
