Telegistics has sealed a distribution agreement with enterprise wireless networking technology vendor Ekahau.
The Spark-owned distributor said its vendor offerings now provide access to Ekahau’s portfolio of products and solutions surrounding Wi-Fi, including design, planning, as well as site surveys.
"This agreement enhances our portfolio, and places Telegistics in a unique position, allowing us to provide a complete solution that will undoubtedly help all of our customers, channels and partners to offer an innovative and complete toolkit for designing, analysing, optimising and troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks from leading vendors like Nokia and Cisco," said John van Rensburg, CEO of Telegistics.
According to Telegistics, Ekahau has more than 15,000 customers, including 30 per cent of Fortune 500 companies.
“New Zealand is an important market for us and when selecting a new distributor we found that Telegistics' focus on creating value through solutions combined with hands-on execution really resonated with us," said Amin Kroll, Ekahau's A/NZ head of sales.
Mission-critical business applications are pushing the performance boundaries of Wi-Fi networks. Increasingly channel partners are asking for assistance when planning to ensure networks are designed and deployed with increased precision and capacity.
"Proper Wi-Fi design and ongoing management is critical to the security and performance of an enterprise wireless network and Telegistics is going to be an important partner in helping customers across New Zealand and the Pacific to achieve that," said Kroll.
The deal means Ekahau Connect will be launched in New Zealand. This builds on earlier products with several new capabilities designed to make Wi-Fi professionals more productive.
Last year, Dicker Data announced it has won a distribution deal for the Ekahau range. Reseller News understands that distributorship is continuing.
