Fujitsu NZ increased both sales and profits slightly in 2019, according to financial statements released overnight.

Operating revenue for the IT services and technologies provider increased to $174.6 million from $172.1 million in the year to 31 March. Expenses also increased, from $168.5 million to $170.3 million.

Operating profit for the year was $4.2 million, up from $3.6 million, while net profit after tax was $3.8 million up from $2.7 million.

A note in the accounts said the company continues to grow through strong local delivery leveraging the strength of a global market leader.

Expenses for contractors and employees fell from $79.8 million in 2018 to $73.4 million while cost of goods and other expenses increased.

The company's financial performance has been improving since 2017, when it reported a net loss of $603,000.

Major known clients include Customs, for which Fujitsu has supplied infrastructure support services, and SkyCity, for which Fujitsu provided ICY sustainability bench-marking and visibility.
