Australia-headquartered distributor ACA Pacific has expanded into New Zealand through the launch of the Auckland office, its first office outside Australia.
The new location, which includes a demonstration facility, is located in Rosedale.
ACA Pacific has hired former Dicker Data executive Christian Mack as channel sales manager for data storage and former Kyocera's former general manager Angus Malietoa who's been appointed channel sales manager for document imaging.
The distributor believes to offer the NZ channel "significant new opportunities" in the desktop to enterprise data storage, protection and management areas. It also brings opportunities for growth in digital transformation, AI and RPA via its Document and Information Management offering.
"This move into New Zealand is a natural progression for us and our long-standing vendor partners. Our executive team are moving quickly to roll out our proven business model of upskilling resellers and providing collaborative sales and marketing services to support the growth of our NZ reseller partners," said HB Tan, founder and director of ACA Pacific.
Initial focus will be on developing the market for Kodak Alaris document imaging and quantum high performance data storage business units.
As a specialised distributor for Kodak Alaris document scanners and capture software, ACA Pacific will proactively work with imaging resellers, bureaus, MFD vendors and ISV’s.
The New Zealand portfolio also includes Atempo, Avanan, Condusiv, ContexOverland, QLogic, Socomec, Tandberg, UpGuard and Western Digital Enterprise.
According to the distributor the Contex wide-format scanners combined with the Kodak Alaris document scanners, allows resellers to provide complete digital transformation solutions.
ACA Pacific is also a master distributor for Quantum data storage solutions across Australia and New Zealand.

The company will officially launch the office on 15 August and plans the monthly roll out of training programs, promotions and value-added services.
