Wellington International Airport is live on Veovo's new R8 software.
Wellington is the world’s first airport to go live with NZX-listed Gentrack's rebuilt Veovo online airport management system.
The airport has been a long standing user, but has now rolled out the new release, dubbed R8, which has effectively been redesigned from the ground up.
Veovo connects, combines and analyses data from myriad IT systems, such as air traffic control software, gate management tools, as well as feeds, such as MetService weather updates, and delivers insights to airport staff via a web-based portal.
The technology, which generates role-specific answers to business challenges, promises to provide a real-time, predictive overall view of operational activities to improve performance and optimisation and enhance the passenger experience.
"The new platform gives us instant clarity of what’s happening, and when, across the airport. It allows us to make fast, proactive decisions, particularly around events like changes in flight schedules," Wellington Airport GM facilities and IT Leanne Gibson said.
Over 110 airports use Veovo's software globally.
