DXC Red Rock is seeking an analytics practice leader in New Zealand, as the technology provider aims to leverage the recent acquisition of specialist Oracle partner, M-Power.
Following the buyout of the Perth-based business in March, plans to integrate the brand into the Red Rock practice are underway locally, as part of a post-acquisition agreement.
As reported by sister publication ARN, parent company DXC Technology signed an agreement to acquire M-Power less than two months ago, tapping into expertise across Oracle cloud-based, enterprise performance management (EPM) and business intelligence (BI) solutions.
Consequently, the acquisition represents a key part of DXC Red Rock’s cloud-first strategy going forward, in a move designed to strengthen current practices across enterprise performance management (EPM) and business intelligence (BI).
“Due to DXC Red Rock’s recent acquisition of M-Power, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced consulting leader to join our analytics practice in New Zealand, as the NZ practice lead,” a recently posted job advertisement stated.
“Reporting to the NZ general manager, the successful candidate will liaise closely with account directors on cloud analytics and BI opportunities, drive capability and competence within the practice, focus on delivering quality customer outcomes, and practice utilisation.”
Specifically, key responsibilities include liaising with customers and colleagues for the “consultation, requirements gathering, design, implementation and ongoing support” of cloud-based Oracle Analytics, BI and EPM solutions.
Alongside staff development and management, the selected candidate must also play an “active part” in the delivery of projects, project management oversight, account and quality management.
Furthermore, the individual must work closely with the all facets of the business including delivery, project management, support and sales, while assisting with pre-sales activities and preparation of proposals and tenders.
Based in Auckland, previous experience working in a consulting environment is required, alongside expertise in delivering technology projects.
From a technology perspective, a familiarity with the software development life cycle is crucial, backed up by specialist skills across the Oracle suite of solutions, spanning analytics, BI, Hyperion, EPM and cloud.
Operating as a wholly owned DXC company, Red Rock is the largest independent provider of Oracle consulting and managed services in Australia and New Zealand, employing more than 650 staff on both sides of the Tasman.

Founded in 2003, M-Power serves more than 60 customers across A/NZ, with offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
“M-Power has a strong cultural alignment to Red Rock," added Philip Milne, practice director of Red Rock, at the time. “Both organisations pride ourselves on our speed, agility and customer focus and believe that our combined capability will offer significant benefits to all of our customers.
“We will leverage our strong eastern Australia and New Zealand presence to provide customers in those regions greater access to M-Power’s capability.”
