Tech Data has been appointed as distributor for Dbvisit across Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ), an Auckland-based vendor specialising in replicating and streaming Oracle data.

With expertise in Oracle database technology, the organisation serves over 1,300 customers across more than110 countries, delivered through an ecosystem of 120 partners globally.

Terms of the agreement will see Tech Data distribute the entire portfolio of Dbvisit data solutions on both sides of the Tasman, spanning the critical data protection and management, disaster recovery, offload reporting, migrations, upgrades and data distribution.

“Data management presents a key opportunity for the channel today,” Tech Data country manager A/NZ, Wendy O’Keeffe, said. “Data is becoming critically important in digital business initiatives and intelligent decision-making.

“The full range of Dbvisit solutions will enhance our current data management offering for partners, creating a unique solution combining real time analytics, disaster recovery and replication.”

Built in New Zealand, the expanding business now has offices in the USA and Czech Republic, with an ecosystem of partners spanning resellers, cloud service providers and application specialists.

From a customer perspective, the business works with Orion Health and 7-Eleven, alongside WorkForce Software and Vistaprint.

“We are already working with Tech Data in many other markets around the world and have found their knowledge and expertise to be invaluable in assisting local partners to deliver effective data management solutions to their customers,” Dbvisit vice president of product management, Chris Lawless, added.

According to Lawless, the Dbvisit portfolio is suitable for both Oracle Database Enterprise Edition and Standard Edition offerings, aligning with current Tech Data data solutions available locally.

“Partners can now leverage Tech Data’s in-depth expertise to access and implement these solutions quickly and easily, adding new revenue streams for their business,” Lawless added.
