Lenovo has appointed Mike Hill as Country Manager for New Zealand, with the Kiwi industry veteran tasked with leading the tech giant’s business across the country.

Effective June 20, Hill will be responsible for all aspects of Lenovo’s business and sales strategy at a national level, driving business growth, and strengthening all of its New Zealand offerings.

According to the vendor, this move echoes Lenovo’s "increased focus and investment" in New Zealand and its channel partners, following the Lenovo Live events held in Wellington and Auckland in April.

“We are proud to welcome such an established and well-regarded Kiwi ICT veteran to the Lenovo team,” says Matt Codrington, Managing Director of Australia and New Zealand, Lenovo.

"New Zealand is a substantial part of our business in ANZ and with Mike’s extensive expertise and long-standing relationships we are excited to continue expanding throughout the country.

"This appointment strengthens our local commitment to the channel in New Zealand by adding a substantial on-the-ground presence.

“Mike will be instrumental in leading a dedicated approach in New Zealand that will include further allocation of marketing, supply chain and technical support resources to our partners there.

Hill brings over 25 years of ICT experience to the role and most recently was at Fujitsu New Zealand, where he was Sales Manager for the Platforms business.

Prior to this, Hill was Country Manager for Dell New Zealand where he was responsible for building and executing the country strategy, resourcing, governance, and business growth.
