Newly launched software performance company Wild Strait has signed an ‘Alliance level’ Visual Studio Industry Partner (VSIP) agreement with Microsoft.

Microsoft VSIPs are recognised experts who use Visual Studio's extensible framework to create products and solutions to cater for specialised needs.

Launched in October last year by Equinox IT - Microsoft New Zealand’s only Gold Partner for the Application Lifecycle Management competency (the competency that relates to Visual Studio) - Wild Strait has a rich pedigree with Visual Studio and performance testing.

“The Wild Strait Performance Intelligence product opens up new opportunities for us and our customers, extending Visual Studio’s use to include the performance testing of complex, cross-platform, software applications that are developed in short-cycle Agile and DevOps environments,” says Nigel Parker, Director of Developer Experience, Microsoft New Zealand.

“We have a long history working with the Equinox IT team as a Microsoft Gold Partner and we are very pleased to now welcome Wild Strait as a Visual Studio Industry Partner.”

Since its launch, Wild Strait have created a world-first software performance product Wild Strait Performance Intelligence, which extends Microsoft Visual Studio Enterprise to reduce the performance test cycle time and associated costs with performance testing.

“The Microsoft Visual Studio relationship allows us to rapidly respond to the needs of our clients, such as the increasing demand for performance testing in continuous delivery or DevOps environments, without needing to reinvent base functionality,” adds Shane Ross, General Manager, Wild Strait.

“Visual Studio is a popular platform and immediately makes our product relevant to large segment of the market, yet at the same time able to be used to performance test a broad range of technologies.

“To date Wild Strait Performance Intelligence has mostly been used to test complex Java applications, despite the fact that runs on a Microsoft platform.

"We’re excited to become a Visual Studio Industry Partner and we look forward to the continued innovation we will deliver on this platform.”
