Purple poaches Microsoft A/NZ’s Head of Enterprise as channel growth continues

“I am looking forward to forging new relationships and adding to the Purple brand in the Asia Pacific region."

Growing software provider Purple has appointed Petah Green as its new Vice President of Asia Pacific, recruiting the former Microsoft veteran as the company’s channel growth continues.

Green’s role with Purple will offer responsibility for growth and strategic direction across the APJ region, focusing on “strategic relationships” within the service provider sector.

Prior to joining Purple, Green was Head of Microsoft’s Enterprise and Public Sector Sales across Australia and New Zealand, as well as Vice President for Asia Pacific for OpenWave Software and Director of Software Asia Pacific at HP.

"Petah brings the experience of leading large organisations at some of the top IT companies in the world,” says Eric Law, Chief Revenue Officer, Purple.

“That will be critical as we invest and expand our footprint into the Asia Pacific region.

“Petah has repeatedly brought together her business transformation ability with her technology savvy to impact marquee customers of the region and we are excited for her to do the same in creating intelligent spaces with Purple customers.”

Reporting to Law, Green will based in Singapore, drawing on her “extensive knowledge” of the Asia Pacific region having worked across Australia and Singapore.

Green joins the company as Purple ramps up its global expansion plans, with nearly eight million users across 134 countries.

Drawing on a global distribution agreement with Westcon-Comstor, Purple currently has an active reseller base of over 300 in 60 countries.

For Green, the Asia Pacific region is “crucial” to this continued growth for the company.

“This is an exciting time for Purple and I am thrilled to be joining the team at this point,” Green adds.

“Purple’s analytics and data systems offer customers a wide range of opportunities, many of which aren’t currently available in the market.

“I am looking forward to forging new relationships and adding to the Purple brand in the Asia Pacific region.”
