Emerson Network Power continues to strengthen its New Zealand channel business with the appointment of industry veteran Stewart Williams as its channel manager.

According to the critical infrastructure provider, this newly-created role will enable Emerson Network Power to tap into and address the growing needs of edge of network data centres through its best-in-class technology and expertise.

In his position, Williams will focus on supporting and strengthening the local channel network, forging relationships with new partners and bringing Emerson Network Power’s solutions to a broader market.

“In New Zealand, we are seeing an increase in edge of network deployments, as organisations move their critical infrastructure closer to users in response to growing demand for service and content,” says Mo Kandeel, Channel director of Australia and New Zealand, Emerson Network Power.

“That’s why it is important for us to have someone with as much valuable experience as Stewart, who has excellent knowledge of the channel and will allow us to better serve our customers in this field.”

Based in Auckland, Williams brings with him a wealth of experience spanning more than 20 years in IT, having recently been the Country Manager of Distribution Central in New Zealand.

In addition, Williams also served as market development manager at Ingram Micro and has had stints at Acer, IBM and other global and local IT companies.

“I am excited to be working with Emerson Network Power in bringing its channel business to new heights,” Williams adds.

“Given that New Zealand has seen a lot of IT investments over the past couple of months, there will be tremendous opportunities for us to better solve customer challenges and bring industry-leading solutions to this market.”
