Hewlett Packard Enterprise honoured its top performing Kiwi partners at the inaugural HPE Partner Awards in New Zealand last night, held at a glitzy ceremony in Auckland.

Recognising excellence across seven categories - from distributors to resellers - the new-look tech giant celebrated the success of its local channel in fiscal year 2015, as it embarks on a new era following the company’s official split on November 1.

“We’re a new company with a clean slate,” said Keith Watson, Managing Director, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, “and you’ll see us do things a little bit differently.

“We’re here to celebrate partnerships in New Zealand which is one of our key brand attributes.”

Fresh from returning from HPE Discover in London last week, Watson told partners the new company aims to better enable partners to drive business for their customers, through a new array of product launches.

At Discover 2015 London, Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s largest customer event, more than 10,000 IT experts from the world’s most innovative companies joined together, as the company deepened its ties with Microsoft, Intel and others.

As reported by Reseller News, the company unveiled new Internet of Things (IoT) systems and networking solutions in partnership with Intel, in a move to better enable enterprise to collect, process and analyse data.

In addition, Hewlett Packard Enterprise also outlined new details about its hybrid cloud partnership with Microsoft, saying it will provide a new hardware product that integrates with the Azure Cloud platform and build its software to take advantage of Microsoft's offerings.

“We launched a phenomenal array of products last week,” Watson added. “The launches help take our infrastructure to the next level and gives our partners lots of new ideas and innovation to discuss in 2016.”

Following the company’s roadshow across both Auckland and Wellington last month, Hewlett Packard Enterprise has finished the year in New Zealand by acknowledging partners for the business provided during the past year alone.

“We’re honouring the partners that went above and beyond,” added Cedric Edwards, Channel Manager, Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

“The awards reflect partners who have delivered significant growth and revenue for Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and more importantly, been good people to deal with.

“They have been the proactive partners, asking how they can help drive business outcomes for customers.”
