Hewlett Packard Enterprise has unveiled categories for its inaugural HPE Partner Awards in New Zealand, spanning seven awards from distribution to resellers.

Set for the Langham Hotel, Auckland on December 8, the tech giant aims to celebrate the success of its local channel in fiscal year 2015, as it embarks on a new era following the company’s official split on November 1.

Following the company’s roadshow across both Auckland and Wellington last month, Hewlett Packard Enterprise aims to finish the year by recognising the top-performing partners of 2015, while also looking ahead to 2016 and beyond.

“We’re increasing our presence even more so in New Zealand as we become a much bolder company for our partners in the channel,” says Keith Watson, Managing Director, Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

Addressing partners during the roadshows, Watson says both Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and the industry, is on the “verge of enormous change” as it bids to further engage with its local channel community.

Highlighted by the launch of its HPE Partner Ready program, Watson says the new company aims to enable partners to deliver solutions that help joint customers evolve to the New Style of Business.

As outlined by CEO Meg Whitman, this evolution is based on four core transformation areas, all powered by HPE solutions and expertise: transform to a hybrid infrastructure, protect the digital enterprise, empower data-driven organisations, and enable workplace productivity.

“Enterprises are focused more than ever on business outcomes in today’s increasingly competitive business climate,” said Whitman, on the eve of the company’s split.

“We remain committed to the channel and helping partners accelerate growth through delivering comprehensive technology solutions to meet today’s customer demand.

“We are thrilled to start this new chapter together.”

With the awards now only a week away, the categories are as follows:

  • Aruba Growth Partner
  • FY15 Distributor of the Year
  • FY15 Platinum Partner of the Year
  • FY15 Gold Partner of the Year
  • FY15 Silver Partner of the Year
  • FY15 Regional Partner of the Year
  • FY15 Growth Partner of the Year

In addition, Hewlett Packard Enterprise will announce the winners of its 2H15 Channel Sportacular promotion, which will see ten Kiwi partners head off to San Francisco in February to attend the SuperBowl 50 at Levi’s Stadium.

In return for the top performing Hewlett Packard Enterprise products and solution sellers, the trip includes four nights accommodation at the Hilton Hotel, a visit to the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Executive Briefing centre in Palo Alto, as well as sightseeing trips across the city.
