Sektor has completed its acquisition of Comworth, taking on board Panasonic Toughbook and Zebra Card printers as part of the deal.
As reported first by Reseller News, the move comes following Comworth Group’s decision is to exit distribution to sharpen its focus on higher-margin cloud, managed services and software-as-a-service opportunities under its Virsae and Agile businesses.
“Each of these agencies perfectly complements our existing product range in support of our partners,” says Varun Dhani, General Manager, Sektor New Zealand.
“Panasonic Toughbook is a great extension to our core Enterprise Mobility division, while Zebra Card completes our range of receipt and label printing solutions.
“As a business we are always looking for opportunities to build additional competencies around our core market verticals of Retail Technology, Enterprise Mobility, Security, Networking and Healthcare - the Comworth acquisition is a great example.”
Dhani says Sektor has continued to grow into attractive adjacent markets, with Security, Networking and Healthcare divisions now each with their own dedicated teams.
Similarly, with Sektor Thailand, Malaysia and Fiji all coming on stream in the past year, Dhani says Sektor has grown not only its verticals but also its geographic reach in support of its partners and vendors.
