Computer Concepts Limited (CCL) has been named a Gold level ProPartner in the Veeam ProPartner Program, awarded following the enhancements Veeam made to its ProPartner Program, announced in July.
“Achieving Gold status within Veeam’s ProPartner Program is an exciting step for us,” says Andrew Allan, CEO, CCL.

For Allan, in being headquartered in Christchurch, the events of the last few years have highlighted the importance of having a quality disaster recovery solution.
“During the Christchurch earthquakes the [CCL] data centre never missed a beat,” Allan adds. “Our engineers spent long hours over many months helping local businesses get back on their feet, recovering lost data from damaged hardware.
“Availability solutions that Veeam offers would have saved many businesses a lot of stress, time and money.”
Formed in 1990 by Darryl Swann, the current Managing Director, over the past 20 years CCL has grown to 192 staff, operating out of six offices nationwide.
Throughout the years CCL has invested heavily in building New Zealand’s IT backbone including their flagship Tier3+ Data Centre in Christchurch which utilises a custom built “green” water cooling system.

“We have recently had a customer who had to restore one of their main file servers and it was an extremely easy and rapid process using Veeam’s solution.

“Veeam’s replication provide an easy to use alternative in the market, removing a lot of the limitations and complexities of other tools.”
For Allan, this an important addition to CCL’s disaster recovery portfolio and gets the company “even closer” to removing the pain of backups for New Zealand businesses.
“By combining solutions like Veeam and CCL’s Hybrid Cloud service it’s now possible to easily manage offsite backups, securely storing them in the cloud and having them available for rapid recovery should the worst happen,” he adds.
