Global expansion underway as NZ software firm heads to Microsoft WPC 2015 with high hopes

“We currently have 300 resellers and we are looking to increase this to 500 within the next six months.”

New Zealand-based software firm Crossware is hoping to utilise the upcoming Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference to boost the company’s plans for global expansion.

In becoming the only Kiwi sponsor and exhibitor at Microsoft WPC this year, which will take place in the US state of Florida on July 13, Crossware managing director, Per Andersen, hopes the event will trigger a surge of interest in the company’s growing portfolio of Office 365 products.

“With the focus of WPC being on Microsoft partners, the event will be a great platform for Crossware to meet potential partners who can help us grow across the world,” Anderson says.

“We currently have 300 resellers and we are looking to increase this to 500 within the next six months.”

For Anderson, WPC is also a chance for Crossware to showcase its new Crossware Mail Signature for Office 365 product, launched in January this year.

According to Anderson, the product is unique as it sits completely in the Microsoft cloud and users’ email never actually leave the Microsoft environment.

At present, the response to the new product for Office 365 has been “overwhelming” with a 200 per cent increase in new customers since it launched, prompting Crossware to increase its involvement in the Microsoft world.

“We're very pleased to have Crossware as a sponsor at Microsoft WPC this year,” says Jared Pedersen, Partner Strategy & Program Manager, Microsoft New Zealand.

“Their geographical reach and business growth is evident in their global approach and marketing strategy. Having local companies involved in large worldwide conferences puts New Zealand innovation on the global stage.

“Microsoft New Zealand works closely with our local Gold competency partners. As one of those key partners, Crossware is building real value on top of the Office 365 and Azure cloud platforms.”

Meanwhile, Anderson says Crossware is looking to expand its UK team, and plans to relocate its marketing function to London in October.

“A large proportion of our sales come from Europe and most of our current partners are there as well,” he adds. “Having our marketing based in Europe will allow us to work closer with our partners and to be more effective with our marketing in that region.”

At present, over 650,000 people around the world use the Crossware Mail Signature software to extend their Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office 365 or IBM Domino email platform.
