Dominating security performance as F5 Networks takes out top vendor award

“F5 is honoured to receive Frost & Sullivan’s recognition of our market leadership."

F5 Networks has been named the Application Delivery Controller (ADC) Vendor of the Year at the 2015 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific ICT Awards.

The award marks F5’s seventh consecutive win, with the Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific ICT Awards recognising “outstanding performance and leadership” by companies within the Asia Pacific Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry.

“F5 is honoured to receive Frost & Sullivan’s recognition of our market leadership,” says Emmanuel Bonnassie, Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific, F5 Networks.

“In today’s mobile and app-driven environment, the proliferation of multiple devices within the organisation really adds diverse layers of complexity to managing and delivering apps in a hybrid environment of physical data centres and various types of cloud platforms.

“We are here to help organisations address the infrastructure changes that a mobile workforce will encounter when managing mobility, security and productivity in a diverse mobile ecosystem.”

Bonnassie says the workforce of today - and into the future - continues to be mobile and complex.

Going forward, Bonnassie says F5’s goal is to ensure that organisations operate cost-effectively and are able to manage and deliver applications seamlessly to users in the most secure manner.

Consequently, the company’s hybrid solution that launched in early 2015 offers extended security, optimisation, and availability services from both hosted and managed infrastructure, providing organisations the means to efficiently operationalise in a hybrid world.

“F5 Networks has maintained their dominant leadership in the Asia Pacific ADC market,” adds Edison Yu, Director, Head of Enterprise for ICT, Frost & Sullivan.

“With its application-centric positioning and modular approach, it continues to excel in integrating strong security features to its ADC platform, while listening to the needs of the market and providing solutions to meet the new demands of application delivery.

“F5 Networks’ strategies focused on promoting the Synthesis architecture, a vision for Software Defined Application Services, and its integration with various Software Defined Networking (SDN) components.

“Strong partnerships with distributors and resellers within the Unity partner program have also helped F5 establish a robust client base across verticals.”
