The Australian division of New Zealand-owned Datacom has claimed another standout industry award this week, bagging the A/NZ Managed Services Provider of the Year at the Symantec 2015 Pacific Partner Awards in Sydney.
Recognising the commitment of local channel partners in driving business success, the Kiwi based tech firm has been rewarded for positively contributing to customers, the partner community and the vendor.
The award winners were selected based on criteria such as overall performance in revenue growth, achievement of Symantec specialisations, joint marketing activities, program adoption, technical expertise and customer service excellence.
Co-hosted by Veritas managing director pacific region, Paul Simos, and Symantec vice president channel sales Asia Pacific and Japan, Edwin Yeo, the overriding message of the awards was that 2014/15 has been a “transformative” period for the security giant.
“We announced our unified security and information management strategies, delivered more than 50 products, and made the decision to separate Symantec and Veritas into two standalone companies,” Yeo says.
“As we are going through this change, our partners are critical in ensuring we continue to meet the needs of our customers and deliver on our commitments.”
There were six partner award categories on the night, with the winners including:
• Distributor of the Year A/NZ - Ingram Micro Australia
• Mid-market Partner of the Year - Fujitsu Australia
• Specialised growth Partner of the year A/NZ - Intalock
• Services Partner of the Year A/NZ - Insentra
• Managed Services Provider of the Year A/NZ - Datacom
• Partner of the Year A/NZ - Data#3.
