Kiwi SaaS provider eyes up US market following partner network expansion

Traditionally, companies relied on developers writing code or using integration packages to write complex transfer logic.

New Zealand SaaS data integration platform company, Eight Wire, has boosted its Amazon Cloud offering, allowing Australian customers to integrate Cloud and on premise systems with AWS Redshift faster than previously with the company’s new Eight Wire Conductor.

Traditionally, companies relied on developers writing code or using integration packages to write complex transfer logic.

With Conductor, a SaaS data integration platform, a single analyst can synchronise and migrate thousands of tables with little effort and data errors are fixed automatically.

According to the Kiwi firm, integrating data with Redshift, a fully managed petabyte data warehouse solution, is especially difficult because it requires other AWS applications to store and transform data prior to loading.

Because Conductor is location and platform agnostic, all major databases can be integrated with Redshift wherever they reside with the logic required to store and transform data now done behind the scenes.

“The biggest hurdle facing companies moving to Redshift is integrating their existing data sets with the platform,” says Jason Gleason, Business Director, Eight Wire.

“With Conductor, this is no longer a worry since the application automates almost all of the manual work. Eight Wire customers are moving hundreds of tables with a few mouse clicks and shifting major systems over in a fraction of the time it has taken in the past.”

Moving to new database platforms usually requires large teams of developers and projects were infamous for blowing budgets.

With Conductor, Gleason says the vast majority of manual effort in mapping data from the source to destination is done automatically.

“An analyst simply tells the application where the data is and where it is going to go, and Conductor does the rest,” he adds.

Founded by two data consultants in Wellington in 2013, Eight Wire is focused on taking the pain and risk out of data integration projects and innovating in a crowded space.

After proving its product in New Zealand for 18 months, Eight Wire is expanding with partner networks in the US and UK.

At present Eight Wire has four resellers across the country as well as partners in the US and UK, with plans already underway to have a US-based sales arm running in a few months.
