Hello Lenovo - New cloud partner program launches in NZ

New partner program brings advantages to service providers operating in the highly-competitive cloud computing market.

Lenovo has announced the launch of its first partner program for cloud and managed service providers (MSPs) in New Zealand, complementing the transition and integration of the System x server business to Lenovo.

Effective 1 April 2015, the tech giant says the Lenovo Service Provider (LSP) Program, which has been rolled out across both Australia and New Zealand, will deliver a streamlined engagement process for partners.

The outcome? A program that offers service providers advantages in forms of competitive prices, unique financing plans, and the ability to choose infrastructure from a large and diverse product portfolio that best meets their needs.

"Managed services spending is expected to triple globally in the next few years, and with the recent integration of the System x server, network and storage portfolio, Lenovo is well positioned to offer beneficial programs to new and existing providers," says Anthony Smith, Director of the Enterprise Business Group, Lenovo Australia and New Zealand.

"This new program will provide approved service providers with a simple, efficient and profitable means to deliver 'As a Service' to their customers.

“In Australia and New Zealand, demand for cloud-based services has grown exponentially and we want our partners to be well-equipped to take advantage of new opportunities and we are here to help them do that.”

According to Smith, as cloud technologies become increasingly attractive to complex business processes, service providers are required to “develop and implement innovative approaches” that enable flexible infrastructure integration, reduce IT sprawl, enhance service quality for customers and lower expenses.

“The Lenovo Service Provider Program is specifically designed to help address these challenges,” adds Smith, alluding to access to technology, improved profitability and avenues to accelerate cloud services.
