Tenable increases regional footprint with APAC VP hire

Global leader in continuous network monitoring expands in Asia Pacific as cyber-security becomes a priority for governments and businesses worldwide…

Tenable Network Security has appointed veteran technology sales executive Gary Jackson as Tenable’s vice president of sales in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

Jackson will be responsible for driving Tenable’s sales strategy and overseeing its execution in APAC, where the company has had significant growth in recent years.

With over 50 percent revenue growth worldwide in 2015, Tenable is positioned to become one of the category leaders in cyber-security.

The company is expanding in APAC to meet the demand for its SecurityCenter Continuous View (CV) continuous network monitoring solution.

“Extending Tenable’s presence in APAC is a priority for us in 2015,” says Ron Gula, CEO, Tenable Network Security.

“As our new head of APAC sales, Gary brings exceptional leadership skills and knowledge of the region to Tenable as well as experience with high-growth technology companies, all of which make him a great addition to the company and to the global sales team.”

Jackson’s career spans more than 40 years in technology sales, including assignments at Microsoft and Sybase. Prior to joining Tenable, Jackson held various regional vice president of Asia Pacific positions over 16 years with Cisco Systems, EMC and Aruba Networks.

“We will be growing Tenable’s APAC operations aggressively, and hiring the best people to earn the respect of customers and Integration partners in Asia,” Jackson adds.

“Cyber attacks were up in 2014 and the world is growing more concerned about network security at all levels of business, so I’m excited for the opportunity to connect customers with the best continuous network monitoring and vulnerability management technology in the world to help them detect, assess and protect the security of their networks.”
