Data protection provider Arcserve has announced that Cloud Ready Solutions (CRS) has become a value added distributor for the company in New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands.
Effective immediately, the US firm says resellers in the A/NZ region can purchase Arcserve solutions through CRS.
Specialising in value added software distribution and professional deployments of disaster recovery and system migration solutions, CRS’ main offerings include disaster recovery and migration products by Arcserve.
“CRS has an incredibly strong pedigree and expertise in encompassing a full data protection strategy supporting partners in meeting the high demands and expectations of ANZ customers," says James Forbes-May, vice president of sales, Arcserve APAC.
"Data Protection is fragmented – appliances, disk/tape backup, physical, virtual, hybrid strategies, high availability, migrations to name a few.
"CRS is perfectly positioned to guide partners on how to meet its customers’ needs through the Arcserve portfolio.”
The global Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) and business continuity market is estimated to grow at compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 55.2% from 2013 to 2018.
Maturing rapidly, Forbes-May believes A/NZ’s cloud computing and datacentre industry has "incredible growth potential."
So much so that Forbes-May says the recent emergence and inevitable dominance of cloud-based services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, VMWare vCloud Air and the Cisco Cloud represent an "enormous opportunity" for CRS and Arcserve.

In addition to software distribution, CRS will provide professional services to all customers through the channel, implementing regular training programs for its key partners and resellers.
Arcserve solutions are distributed by Dicker Data in Australia and Westcon Group in New Zealand, in addition to Cloud Ready Solutions.
