Power management company, Eaton, has appointed Gordon Makryllos as Managing Director - Australia/New Zealand for the company’s electrical business.
Based in Sydney, Makryllos will be responsible for leading the business through its next phase of growth and propelling its sales and marketing presence.
After holding several senior management positions with Schneider Electric, Telstra and IBM, most recently, Makryllos was managing director for Orange Business Services where he was responsible for spearheading growth for the company’s range of cloud computing, unified communications and security services.
“This is an exciting time to lead the Eaton electrical business in Australia and New Zealand to partner with the industry to meet the critical power management challenges of both today and the future,” Makryllos says.

Makryllos joins Eaton after the company reported 2013 sales of $22.0 billion with the business currently employing approximately 103,000 employees and selling products to customers in more than 175 countries.
